Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Nothing on this site, and nothing returned by any third-party tool linked from it, may be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose the FCRA covers.
Accuracy of Information
County offices may change their portals, prices, forms, and procedures, while indexes, values, and parcel layers can also be revised. We try to keep this guide accurate, but details may become outdated; confirm important facts with the office that holds the record.
Not Title, Survey, or Legal Advice
Information here is for general property-record research in Clay County and is not legal advice. It cannot replace a title examination, a licensed boundary survey, or a professional appraisal.
Lawful Use Only
Public property records exist for transparency and property research, not for harm. Do not use anything found through this site to stalk, harass, or intimidate any person. Misusing owner information can violate West Virginia criminal law and federal law, and it violates our Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party companies. We do not control what those tools return, what they charge, or how they handle submitted data, and their results are not FCRA-compliant consumer reports.
Outbound Links
Links lead to County Clerk, Assessor, Sheriff, GIS, and other outside resources. Those websites control their own content and availability.
No Records Hosted on This Site
No government deeds, tax records, assessments, or parcel maps are stored here. Request, verify, or correct a record through the public office or portal that maintains it.
